Website edition House Medical Consultants Ltd

Who is responsible

House Medical is the software studio of House Medical Consultants Ltd, company number 12540692. The company is responsible for the personal information it uses to manage enquiries and its business correspondence.

For a privacy question or request, email sales@housemedical.co.uk. You can also use the contact information on our company information page.

Information we receive

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send. Correspondence may also contain your name, organisation, role or other details relevant to the conversation.

You choose what to share. We need enough information to understand and respond to an enquiry, but please avoid sending passwords, full financial records or personal information that is not needed for that first conversation.

Requests to the website can also generate technical information for the hosting provider, such as an IP address and information about the request. Our public website is hosted using GitHub Pages.

Website features and local preferences

The website has no enquiry form, advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Its fonts and visual assets are served with the website. The interactive signal field runs in your browser and does not submit the slider value or pointer movement to us.

If you change the motion setting, a preference is stored locally in your browser on that device. It is used to remember whether animations should run. You can change the setting on the site or remove it by clearing the site’s stored browser data.

The copy-email control writes the displayed address to your clipboard only when you select that action. Ordinary email links open your chosen email application.

Why we use information

We use correspondence to understand and answer enquiries, discuss potential work, manage business relationships and keep relevant records.

  • Business correspondence: our legitimate interests in responding to people and managing the studio’s activities, taking account of their rights and expectations.
  • Contract discussions: taking steps at your request before entering a contract with you, or performing that contract, where this applies.
  • Required records: complying with legal obligations where particular information must be retained or provided.

We do not sell personal information or share correspondence with unrelated parties for their marketing. This website does not make automated decisions about visitors that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers and access

Hosting, email and IT service providers process information needed to operate their services. Relevant information may also need to be shared with professional advisers or authorities where this is necessary for the work or required by law.

Our commitment is to use appropriate safeguards, treat correspondence as confidential and limit access to people who need it for the relevant purpose. No internet or email service can eliminate every security risk.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where we arrange a restricted international transfer, appropriate safeguards must apply, such as an applicable adequacy arrangement or contractual protections. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your data.

How long information is kept

Information should be kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it is used. Relevant considerations include whether an enquiry is still active, whether there is an ongoing working relationship, and whether records are needed for legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

A request to delete information will be considered in that context. If some information needs to be retained, we will explain the reason where we can. We do not promise immediate deletion where a relevant legal requirement or exemption applies.

Your rights and requests

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct it, request erasure, restrict its use, object to processing or receive certain information in a portable form. The rights that apply depend on the purpose and lawful basis for the processing.

To make a request, email us and explain what you would like to know or do. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Please do not send identity documents unless they are requested through an appropriate process.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are concerned about how your personal information is handled. See the ICO’s complaints information.

Products and changes to this notice

A software product can process different information for a different purpose. Read its own privacy notice and terms before using it; this website notice does not replace product-specific information.

We may update this notice when the website or relevant arrangements change. The website edition date identifies the current published text. Material changes to the use of information should be explained to the people affected where required.
