Our standing policy
Exploitation is unacceptable in our operations and supply chains. We will not knowingly support or do business with an organisation involved in forced labour, human trafficking or other forms of modern slavery.
This policy applies to our relationships with suppliers, contractors and business partners, regardless of their sector or location. We expect those organisations to uphold fair and humane labour practices in their own work.
Where we need to remain aware
A software business depends on people, equipment and services. Relevant relationships can include technology and equipment suppliers, professional services, contractors and other organisations supporting the work.
We aim to consider the nature of a supplier’s activities and the information available about its practices. Risk should be assessed in context, including the use of recruitment agencies, subcontractors and extended supply chains.
Expectations of suppliers and partners
- Work should be freely chosen, without coercion, threats or restriction of movement.
- People should be treated with dignity and have fair, lawful terms of work.
- Identity documents should not be withheld as a means of control.
- Suppliers should take concerns about exploitation seriously and address them appropriately.
- Business relationships should support lawful and ethical employment practices.
These expectations support our decisions about whom we work with. They do not amount to a guarantee about every activity in a supplier’s wider operations.
Responding to a concern
We encourage people to raise a credible concern about exploitation connected with our operations or business relationships. Information should be handled sensitively and shared only as needed to understand and address the issue.
Appropriate action may include seeking further information, asking a supplier to address a concern, reconsidering the relationship or contacting the relevant authorities. The response should take account of the safety and interests of people who may be affected.

Contact the studio if you have a concern relating to House Medical. Include the organisation or activity involved and the information that gives rise to your concern. Do not put yourself or another person at risk to obtain evidence.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service. Emailing the studio is not an emergency reporting service.
Scope of this statement
This is a standing policy statement of our commitments and expectations. It is not presented as a signed, board-approved annual statement for a specified financial year under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Where an annual statutory statement is required, it needs to address the relevant reporting period, steps taken and approval requirements separately.
